The statement above mentioned is wrong. Handicapped are now referred as differently-abled people. They are people whose some organs are not functioning properly, either by accident or by growth defect for example: deaf, blind and polio-effected people. They take up challenges daily to face the world around them so that they can adjust to the surroundings. They are mentally strong and are ready for all kinds of hardships. They always look forward to be treated as normal people rather than getting pitied and getting sympathy.
