Diffusion takes place in cells. Diffusion means water transportation. The cells become shrink when they loose the water and they become swell up when they take excess of water. This process is called hypotonic and hypertonic. Unicellular organisms take the process of diffusion while multi cellular organism fails due to many cells because all the cells are not exposed with environment
