UNESCO has selected several monuments as World Heritage Sites to protect and preserve cultural sites all over the world. There are many such heritage sites in India. Select any 10 and find their locations. Make a table, listing these names. Your table should have 4 heads: name of site, name of location, latitude and longitude. Use your atlas to find the location. Now, list the latitude and longitude of each site in your table

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Sites are important places of cultural or natural heritage as described in the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, established in 1972.[1]

There are 38 World Heritage Sites located in India.[2] These include 30 cultural sites, seven natural sites and one mixed-criteria site.[3] India has the sixth largest number of sites in the world.[4]
