Uniform circular motion is accelerated because the velocity changes due to continuous change in the direction of motion. So, even when the body moves ta a constant speed, its velocity is not constant. Thus, for a body moving in a circular path at a constant speed, its velocity changes continuously.

For example - Motion of the earth around the sun, man running around a circular path with constant speed , etc.

In all the examples mentioned above the speed of the object is constant but the direction of the objects is changing since they are moving in a circular path. So, we can say that the motion of all these objects are accelerated.
