Uniform rod of mass M is given a horizontal velocity v0 on a rough track . the surface is rough so the right side of the origin and the surface is smooth at frictionless on the left side of the origin. Express the velocity of the rod as a function of distance from the origin also find the distance covered before it comes to instantaneous rest.
