As We have vector given is 4i + 4j -2k named as U vector
Therefore unit vector in direction of U vector is given by
U unit vector = U vector/IUI
IUI is basically the magnitude of the vector. IUI is calculated as follows,
IUI = \sqrt{(4^2) + (4^2) + (-2^2)}
IUI = \sqrt{36} = 6
As Unit vector "U" formula in directon of Vector "U" is given as
U unit vector = U vector/IUI
U vector = 4i + 4j -2k (Given)
IUI = 6 (calculated)
U unit vector = (4i + 4j -2k)/6
U unit vector = (2/3) i + (2/3) j - (1/3) k
