It was a hot day. A crow felt very thirsty. He flew about in search of water. He reached a garden. He saw a jug of water. But there was very little water in it. His beak couldn't reach it. The crow was very wise. He saw some pebbles near the jug. He picked up the pebbles one by one, and dropped them into the jug. The water rose up inch by inch. Now the crow's beak could reach it. He drank the water and flew away.
