Given :  A. P  6, 13, 20.. ...216

To Find  : Number of Terms

1 is added to each term of this AP then find the sum of all the terms of the A P obtained

Solution:

A. P

 6, 13, 20... ..216

a = 6

d = 7

last term = 216

=> 216 = 6 + (n - 1)7

=> 210 = (n - 1)7

=> 30 = n - 1

=> 31 = n

Number of terms  = 31

Sum of all terms

= (31/2)(6 + 216)

= 31(3 + 108)

= 31(111)

= 3441

If 1 s added to each term then sum will increase by 31 as there are 31 terms

3441 + 31 = 3472

Or

AP  will be

7 , 14 , 21  , ... ..  ..  , 217

a = 7  d = 7   n = 31

Sum = (31/2)(7 + 217)

= (31/2)(224)

= 31 * 112

= 3472

number of terms = 31

Sum obtained from new AP = 3472
