upper and lower surface of some leaves in a potted plant are covered with vaseline. it is observed that these leaves becomes yellow and fall off after some days. why does this happen? justify your answer giving reasons.

It happens because the stomata of such a leaf gets blocked.Therefore such leaves cannot able to take certain gases like carbon dioxide, oxygen etc from the atmosphere.

hey mate it is so bcz thier stomatak pores get close due to vaseline.and due to this photosynthesis will nt occur and chlorophll ill nt be there nd it gets yellow
