Ureters: A pair of ureters arise from Renal pelvis of  each kidney. Each ureter is a long muscular tube 25- 30 cm. in length. Ureters open into Urinary bladder by separate openings, which are not guarded by valves. They  pass obliquely through the wall of urinary bladder.  This helps in prevention of backflow of urine due to  compression of ureters while bladder is filled.

Explanation:

Ureters

  1. These are the ducts that pass the urine formed in kidney to the urinary bladder .
  2. They enter into urinary bladder however there are no valves to prevent any back flow of urine

Hence, the structure of ureters facilitates in this condition when bladder is filled .
