karthikkattojup6118q: to equalise the B in A:B and B:C we have to multiply
Anonymous: From where 15 came
Anonymous: And y dividing by 3
karthikkattojup6118q: and the ratio is always have to be in its least terms so we take 3 as common in that ratio and divided whole ratio by 3 to get it into it's least terms

Given : A : B = 2 : 3 , B : C = 4 : 5, and C : D = 6 : 7 , So
AB = 23 , BC = 45 and CD = 67

Here , LCM ( 3 , 5 and 7 ) = 105 , So

AB = 70105 , BC = 84105 and CD = 90105

Here we can see CD = 90105 , Here C as 90 ,So we want BC = x90 , But we have BC = 84105 , So

x90 = 84105⇒x = 84105× 90⇒x = 847× 6⇒x = 12 × 6⇒x = 72

Therefore,

BC = 7290

We have : AB = 70105 , Now we want to get it B = 72 , So

y72 = 70105⇒y = 70105×72⇒y = 23 × 72⇒y = 2 × 24⇒y = 48

So,

AB = 4872 , Then

A : B : C : D = 48 : 72 : 90 : 105

A : B : C : D = 16 : 24 : 30 : 35 ( Ans )
