Answer:

a. -2/3×(4/7+2/9)= (-2/3*4/7)+(-2/3*2/9)

                           = ( -8/21)+( -4/27)

L.C.M of 21 and 27 is 189,so

-8/21= -72/189

-4/27= -28/189

( -8/21)+( -4/27)= (-72/189)+ (-28/189)

= -100/189

b.  3/6×[(-9/11)+(-5/22)]= (3/6*(-9/11)+(-5/22)

                                       = ( 3/6*-9/11)+ ( 3/6* -5 /22)

                                        = ( -27/66)+ (-15/132)

L.C.M of 66 and 132 is 132,so

-27/66= -54/132

-15/132= -15/132

( -27/66)+ (-15/132)= (-54/132)+(-15/132)

= -23/44
