We can use his identity to find the square of 103 .

( 103 )²
= ( 100 + 3 )²
= ( 100 )² + 2 * 100 * 3 + ( 3 )²
= 10000 + 600 + 9

(103²= (100 + 3 )²

{Using Identity}

= 100² + 2 × 100 × 3 + 3²

=10000 + 600 +9 =10609

We may also directly multiply 103 by 103 and get the answer.
