Red light have more wavelength so is less scattering and hence used for danger signal

Explanation:

  • Visible light have wavelength range from approximately from 400 to 700 n m and different colors starting from violet to red ( VIBGYOR)
  • Red light have approximately 700 n m wavelength which is greater among all
  • Scattering of light depends inversely on the fourth power of wavelength (scattering ∝ \frac{1}{x^{4} }   where x is wavelength of light)
  • As shown above greater is the wavelength less will be scattering hence red light is used so that it could be visible from large distance as well
