One day I was with Elle at my Dad’s office, which is a launch site. In the morning, he showed us a rocket ship. Curious, Elle and I jumped in and as soon as my dad said, “Don’t do that!” the rocket voice started to count, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and blast off! Just when Elle started to say, “We should not have done that Jo” we were flying high up into the air. “Well, we’re up here now, so we cannot go back down” I replied sadly.
As we went up into space we bumped into an asteroid field. So Elle pressed the red ‘destroy’ button and a force-field thingy plunged out of the rocket and immediately destroyed all the asteroids that were bothering Elle and I. Next we realised that the rocket was shaking heavily, so I pressed the ‘detach’ button and we started falling. Suddenly we heard a bang and felt a hard thump.
Then we got out of the rocket ship. “We are on the Moon Elle, the one you see at night in the sky!” I exclaimed. ”Oh wow, this is amazing” Elle said dreamily. “I know, it is beautiful” I replied excitedly.
Next, we set up a grey space house (which was actually very big). After Elle and I set the space house up, we had a PB and J (which is a Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich). “This is yummy” Elle said, with the sandwich in her mouth. “I think it is even better than a Mar’s Bar” I said cheerfully. “Let’s go to the space bed now, I’m tired” said Elle. “Okay, let’s go” I replied.
The next day, we were up and out of the space house. We didn’t really need space gear as we found two wristbands (one was for me and the other for Elle) that gave you oxygen, so that you could breathe and you wouldn’t die. When we were outside the space house Elle said, “We can play moon bounce if you want?” “Um, ok, there is just one thing, I don’t exactly know how to play moon bounce” I replied. “Oh, it’s so easy, all you have to do is bounce as high as you can” Elle replied. After we finished talking we played moon bounce, when suddenly a rocket was plummeting towards us.
My Dad walked out of the rocket and looked at us madly, until Elle and I said together, “We’re sorry, we didn’t mean to cause any trouble.” “Oh it’s fine, as long as you two curious girls are safe” my Dad said overjoyed (I hugged him). Next, my Dad took Elle and I into the rocket and flew us back to the launch site. When we were out of the ship, Elle’s mother and father were there and Elle ran over to them and hugged them tightly. Then I said, “We can pretend to play moon jump at school on Monday.” “Okay,” Elle replied.
“Goodbye Elle” I said. “Bye bye Jo” Elle replied back, as she walked into the distance. After Elle left, my Dad picked me up and hugged me and said, “Did you enjoy going to the moon?” ”Yes!” I replied back. After Dad and I had a talk, we strolled out of the launching site and walked back to our 4 level house, where we have lived happy ever since.
