SOLUTION ::

g(x) = x + 2

The zero of the polynomial x + 2* is given by

x + 2 = 0

So x = - 2

Let f(x) = x³+ 3x² + 3x + 1

Now by the Remainder Theorem the required Remainder is

f( - 2 )

= (-2)³ + 3 × (-2)² + 3 ×(-2) +1

= - 8 + 12 - 6 + 1

= - 1
