Hey there!

g(x) is the factor of f(x) if f(-1) = 0.

f( - 1) = { - 1}^{3} + {3( - 1)}^{2} + 3( - 1) + 1 \\ f( - 1) = - 1 + 3 - 3 + 1 \\ f( - 1) = 0

f(-1) = 0.

Hence, g(x) is a factor of f(x).

Hope it helps!
