Heya.....✋
⏩A salt is a compound in which metal atoms are bonded with the acid radical. Salts are formed when acid and base neutralise each other.
⏩Types of Salts
(i)Neutral salts=> These salts are formed by neutralisation of strong acid and string base. Example: NaCl, K2SO4, KNO3
(ii)Acidic Salts=> These salts are formed by the neutralisation of strong acid and weak base. Solution of these salts in water will have a pH less than seven. Aqueous solution of these salts turns blue litmus red.
Example: NH4Cl, CuSO4
(iii)Basic Salts=> These salts are formed by the neutralisation of weak acid and strong base. Solution of these salts in water turns red litmus blue and will have pH more than 7.
Example: CH3COONa, Na2CO3
Hope it helps✅
