Usha swims in a 90m long pool . She covers 180 m in one minute by swimming from one end to the other and back along the same straight path , find, the average speed and average velocity of usha.

S=speed  D=distance T=time(60 seconds=1minute) d=displacement V=velocity

S=D/T = 180 metres/60 seconds = 3 metres/second

V=d/T
since usha comes back on the same point where she started displacement is zero
therefore 0/60 =0
