1 Joule = 1 Newton X 1 metre -------------(1.)
we know that, 1 Newton = 1kg X 1ms^-2
1 Newton = 10^3 X 10^2
1 Newton = 10^5 gcms^-2
now take, 1m
1m = 100cm
1m = 10^2 cm
now put the values in (1) equation
1 Joule = 10^5gcms^-2 X 10^2 cm
1 joule = 10^7 erg.
