Using distance formula show that the points A(2,4) , B(0,1) and c(4,7) are collinear.
Please Answer properly and step by step.

Is very simple solve your question with the formula of the distance of two points. See the resolution below.

√[(xB - xA)^2 + (yB - yA)^2] = √[(xC - xB)^2 + (yC - yB)^2]

√[(0 - 2)^2 + (1 - 4)^2] = √[(4 - 0)^2 + (7 - 1)^2]

√[(-2)^2 + (- 3)^2] = √[(4)^2 + (6)^2]

√[4 + 9] = √[16 + 36]

√13 ≠ √52

Final result : the points no are collinear.
