Given :- A polyhedron have 99 edges and 89 vertices .

To Find :- Using Euler’s formula find the number of Faces ?

Formula used :-

  • According to euler formula in a polygon :- Number of Faces + Number of Vertices - Number of Edges = 2

Solution :-

Let the total number of faces of given polyhedron is equal to x .

So,

→ Number of faces = x

→ Number of vertices = 89

→ Number of edges = 99

then, putting all values in above told euler formula we get,

→ Number of Faces + Number of Vertices - Number of Edges = 2

→ x + 89 - 99 = 2

→ x - 10 = 2

→ x = 2 + 10

→ x = 12 (Ans.)

Hence, the given polyhedron has total 12 number of faces .
