Answer:

x = 1/3 , 2

Solution:

  • Given : 2/(3x - 5) = x/(3x - 1)
  • To find : x = ?

We have ;

2/(3x - 5) = x/(3x - 1)

On cross-multiplication , we get ;

=> 2(3x - 1) = x(3x - 1)

=> 6x - 2 = 3x² - x

=> 3x² - x - 6x + 2 = 0

=> x(3x - 1) - 2(3x - 1) = 0

=> (3x - 1)(x - 2) = 0

=> x = 1/3 , 2

Hence,

x = 1/3 , 2
