Answer:

Hey dear!

I can explain you this part but right now i am not having time to draw FBD and

take a picture of it.

Explanation:

So,

you have to visualize whatever I say.

Let's say,

when I am pulling a shopping trolley or anything like a block,

I won't apply the force horizontally ( i.e. parallel to ground), it would be applied at some angle from the horizontal.

SO, however you pull a block or anything, there will be two components of force...... one will be in the positive-Y direction (this component will help to reduce the force (mg acted on the earth by the block) and it's another component will be in horizontal direction which will displace the block horizontally.

But while Pushing a block or something :

Again there will be two components but this time one component will be

in the negative-Y direction ( this component will contribute to mg) and it's another component will be again in horizontal direction which will displace the block.

Thus, pushing is comparatively more difficult to do than Pulling,

as in pushing one component of force adds to mg while in pulling one component reduces mg.

So, for same amount of displacement, force applied for pulling is more.

Please try to visualize yourself while pulling or pushing.....this will give an ease to understanding!!

Thank You.
