Let a = 30m, b = 40m and c = 50m
Perimeter = a + b + c
= 30 + 40 + 50 = 120m
Semi Perimeter = a + b + c/2 = 120/2 = 60m
s - a = 60 - 30 = 30m
s - b = 60 - 40 = 20
s - c = 60 - 50 = 10
Heron's Formula: √s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)
=√60*30*20*10
=√2*3*10*3*10*2*10*10
= 2*3*10*10
= 600m²
Length of altitude drawn on the largest side: 600/50 = 12m
