LAN: lan known as local area network is a small network that connects computers such as in a single room. This type of network can be seen in schools or a residential area.

WAN: wan is known as wide area network. They are connected with public networks maybe such as telephone system,satellites and leased lines.

WLAN: this is similar to lan network but the fact is that this uses wireless technology to connect to two or more computers

MAN: it is metropolitan area network. It connects to Internet in a large geographical area such as a metropolitan city.

PAN: pan is known as personal area network. It is used for connecting devices such as smartphones, tabs and many other digital accessories to the computer
