Using litmus indicator show that non metallic oxides are not a basic oxide

When red litmus is used on the oxides of not metals it does not change its colour.. that shows its is acidic in nature

If we use blue litmus instead we could observe it changing into red... this this confirms that non metallic oxides are acidic in nature and not basic
