Answer:
x=2;[x-2=0]
therefore x-2 is a factor
(x3+x2-4x-4) ÷(x-2)
(x2+3x+2) *(x-2)
(x2+2x+x+2) *(x-2)
[x(x+2) +1(x+2) ]*(x-2)
[(x+1) (x+2) ]*(x-2)
hence,
after factorising completely
x3+x2-4x-4=(x+1) (x+2) (x-2)
