Hypertonic solution : The solution that has higher concentration as compared to surrounding is known as hypertonic solution. The cell swells in this case.

There are different types of solutions, some of them are :

Aqueous Solution : The solutions which contains water as the solvent is called Aqueous Solutions.

Saturated Solution : The solution in which no more solute can be dissolved is called Saturated Solution.

Dilute Solution : A dilute solution has a small amount of solute in a large amount of solvent.
