Let px = 4x2+kx-1By remainder theorem when px is divided by x-3, then remainder is given by p3.Now, p3 = 2⇒4 × 32 + k×3 - 1 = 2⇒36+3k - 1 = 2⇒3k+35 = 2⇒3k = 2-35⇒3k = -33⇒k = -333⇒k = -11
