Using substitution method solve the below equation
x- 2y+300=0, 6x-y-70=0

x-2y+300=0 (equation 1)

6x-y-70=0 (equation 2)

Let equation 2,we get

6x-y-70=0

6x-y=70

6x=70+y

x=(70+y)/6 (equation 3)

Putting this value into equation 1,we get

(70+y)/6 -2y +300=0

(70+y-12y)/6= -300

70-11y= -300×6

70-11y= -1800

-11y= -1800-70

-11y= -1870

y= -1870/-11

y= 170

Let equation 3,we get

x=(70+y)/6

x=(70+170)/6

x= 240/6

x= 40
