Using the measures of the angles
given in the figure alongside, find
the measures of the remaining threeangles.

Given,

∠AOB = 8y

∠FOE = 4y

∠COD = 6y

Find: the angles.

∠AOB = ∠EOD (vertically opposite angles)

hence,

∠FOE + ∠EOD + ∠COD = 180° (linear pair)

4y + 8y + 6y = 180

18y = 180

y = \frac{180}{18}

y = 10

Therefore the angles are :

8y = 8(10) = 80°

4y = 4(10) = 40°

6y = 6(10) = 60°

Angle AOB=80.

Angle COD=60.

Angle FOE=40.

Angle EOD=80.

Angle AOF=60.
