Pythagorus Theorem =>  C² = A² + B²

∴ C² = 40² + 9²
=> C²= 1681
=> C= √1681
=> C= 41

hello there !!!

In a rt.∆ ABC ,
let AB = 9cm , BC = ? and AC = 40 cm

By PGT,

H² = B² + P²
AC² = AB² + BC²
( 40 ) ² = ( 9)² + BC²
BC² = (40)² - (9)²
= ( 40 +9) (40 -9)
49 × 31 = 196

BC = 14 CM

Hope it helps you

Lokeshkorampalli: your answer is wrong because the told you to find it hypotenuse not B or P
Bebrainly2: Sorry bro , I can't see properly ... and Thanks for finding my mistake.....
