Using (x + a) (x + b) = x^2 + (a+b) x +ab , find the value of 102 × 104 .

And it can be written as (100+2)×(100+4)

(x+a)(x+b) = x^2 + (ab)x + ab ........ Usind this identity

Here x = 100 , a = 2 , b = 4

Therefore 102 × 104 = (100)^2 + (2+4)100 + 2 × 4

102 × 104= 10000 + 600 + 8

102×104 = 10608
