1. cartographers use different symbols on maps to represent real features of world the symbol is usually a dot or a picture when a feature is long and in the shape of line cartographers use line symbols to represent the things
2. A legend in geography is an area set aside on map that has list of symbols, shape,colours
3. A map indicating hills & valleys by shading rather than by contour line alone is called legend
4. A globe is the three dimensional view of earth that represent oceans, continents,country etc.
5. The two advantages of map over a globe are:- Map is the two dimensional view of earth. and second point is it can be carry easily in a bag or folded in book
