1.The word 'secular' was incorporated in the Preamble of the Indian constitution by an Amendment in 1976 . Secularism in the Indian Constitution implies equality of all religion . it also means that India does not have an official state religion . 2.The separation of the State and religion in democratic societies is important because of the following reasons: It helps a country to function democratically. ... So, it protects people from any type of religious violence. It protects the freedom of individuals to exit from their religion, embrace another religion

3.Article 25 gives every person the right to freedom of conscience and the right to freely profess, practice, and propagate religion subject to public order, morality, and health. Article 26 also gives all denominations the right to manage their own affairs in matters of religion.

4.Human rights are moral principles or norms for certain standards of human behaviour and are regularly protected in municipal and international law.The Economic, Social and Cultural Rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and also in the Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights are included in Part IV of the Indian Constitution and are known as the Directive Principle of State Policy.
