Explanation:

V. 1. Raincoat and umbrella are made of synthetic fabrics because natural fibers are pores in their surface or are porous.

2. The materials they use may wear faster or require special attention, which is why they say to dry clean them. Laundering in a machine can be harsh on fabrics and pill or stretch fabrics, leading to the garment looking worse for wear after washing. So, that wool and silk should be dry washed.

VI. 1. Fibers are made from plant, animal and mineral sources and also are man made. Fibers can be defined as substances produced by plants, animals and humans that can be spun into filament, thread or rope and in a next step be woven, knitted, matted or bound. The oldest fibers used by mankind are flax, cotton, and silk, but even jute and coir have been cultivated since antiquity. They are obtained from animals, plants and are made by humans.

2. Synthetic fibers are more durable:They have high resistance to wear and tear. Due to this, clothes made of synthetic fibers are very durable. Natural fibers have low abrasion due to which the clothes made of natural fibres are not much durable. Example - Polyester, Rayon, Nylon etc.

3. We would wear dark colored clothes in winter because dark coloured things absorb heat and in winter it is very cold outside. So, we should wear dark colored clothes so that the heat is absorbed and we don't feel very cold in winter.

4. How to take care of your clothes -

1. Buy fabrics that are durable.
