- Indus also known as the Sindhu River originates in the Tibetan Plateau flowing in the Indian regions of Jammu & Kashmir then in Pakistan merging with the Arabian Sea.
- The Brahmaputra or the Siang River forms in Mount Kailash, Tibet flowing through the Himalayas into Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and parts of Bangladesh before emptying in the Bay of Bengal.
