We know that

a = (v - u)t

at = v - u

v = u + at

Therefore we can write it as

a=\frac {v-u}{t}

By cross multiplication

at =v-u

at+u=v

OR

v=u+at

Where v=final velocity

u=Initial velocity

a=acceleration

t=time
