"Valiant Vicky, The brave weaver" is a story written by Flora Annie Steel.

This is the story of how a poor weaver acquires half a kingdom and the Princess by purely his luck and speech. Vicky was a poor weaver. One day he happened to kill a mosquito by his shuttle, while weaving. This made him think himself to be a very strong man. His wife and neighbors criticize and so he leaves his home.

The elephant dies by eating the poisonous bread his wife had prepared. but Vicky takes the credit, saying he killed the elephant with his finger. The tiger is killed by chance, but Vicky makes everyone believe that he killed it. At his death, the people say 'the greatest hero the world has ever seen'.  At his death ,the people say 'the greatest hero the world has ever seen'.  So valiant Vicky is not truly valiant. The circumstances have made him an hero.

Valiant Vicky is the greatest hero in the world and he was received half of the kingdom as a reward.

He found it very difficult to run the kingdom because a man may kill a mosquito, an elephant and a tiger, so a man can kill the king anytime.

Here not one man, but thousands were there to kill him and Vicky said that

“No, No!–what is the use of half a kingdom if you haven't a head on your shoulders? Under the circumstances I prefer not to be a hero!'”
