Value of log of 256 to the base 0.5 pls answer fast​

\sf\implies\:256 = \sf\: 0.5^{y}

\sf\implies\: 256 = \sf\: 2^{-y}

\sf\implies\: 2^{8} = \sf\: 2^{-y}

\sf\implies{\underline{y = -8}}

loga to the base b

can be written as

loga/ logb

so log256/-log2

becous 1/2 = 2^-1

so 256= 2^8

hence 8log2/-log2

ans -8
