The vanity of Miss Packetide came to a fall due to her arrogance.
Miss Packletide wanted to outshine the feat of Loona Bimberton of being carried in a plane by an aviator.
She went to shoot the tiger but she could not shoot it. She thus lost a lot of money and had to pay a lot of money to her companion to keep her mouth shut.
Miss Packletide had a great ego which led her to lose a lot of money and prestige earned by her.
