The Graphical method can be used only when the decision variables are two.

Why two decision method is used:

  • One of the simplest ways to tackle a little LP problem is to use the graphical method. This is only useful when the number of decision factors is less than two. When there are more than two variables, plotting the solution on a two-dimensional graph is impossible, thus we must use more advanced approaches.

  • The graphical approach to solving a three-variable system of equations is drawing the planes formed by graphing each equation in the system and then determining the intersection point of all three planes. The system's unique solution is the single location where all three planes intersect.
