Hello Friend
There are three types of radioactive decay.
I) Alpha decay-In this decay the atomic number is reduced by 2 and mass number is reduced by two.
II) Beta decay-This is characterised by emission of beta particles.In this decay atomic number remains same but mass is reduced by 2.
III) Gamma decay-This decay is only characterised by achieving stability.There is no effect in atomic number or atomic mass.
