Let the present age of Rohit be x years

Age of Veena =( x-3) years

Therefore present age = x-3+6=(x+3) years-------(1)

Present age of veena=4(x-3)--------(2)

From 1 and 2 we will get:

x+3 = 4(x-3)

x+3=4x-12

x-4x = -12-3

-3x=-15

x= -15/-3

x=5
