Explanation:The main reason for such scarcity is extreme less temperature which is no suitable for many vegetaive plants and can't be grown at such places even many crops are seasonal, means they require the change in atmospheric temperature asper the need for ex. Karif and Rabi but when we see the temperature of in Himalayas it's around 15 degree Celsius to minus 30 degrees. Hence one can say that vegetation is somewhere no possible in Himalayas

And Himalayan people needs to rely on neighbouring states and villages for completing the food requirement

ii. So this region remains snow covered almost throughout the year.

iii. Due to extremely low temperature and severe cold conditions vegetation do not grow in the high altitude.

iv. During summer, when the snow melts some seasonal flower trees grow.

v. The vegetation gets covered with snow in winter.
