A part ot stem is cut and the cut end is planted in moist soil.After some time,it will gives rise to riots, and grows into an independent plant.Another method of cutting is to remove a ring of bark from the he branch of a tree and then cover the bare portion with soil.Straw or a rag is used ti wrap the soil so that it staus to n place.The portion is watered regularly. After 2-3 moths roots grow out it. The branch is the cut off and planted in moist soil.

Vegetative propagation is the process of asexual reproduction in which new plants are produced from vegetative parts
In case of rose, vegetative propagation is done with the help of stem.
The stem of rose plant is cut and attached to another stem of rose plant.
In result, colourful and very much identical to their parent, new rose plant is produced
