Veins are blue in colour due to deoxygenated blood. If so why is the blood collected from veins are red always?

it is not true that the colour of blood in the veins is bt conventionally veins are shown in blue because if you look at the prominemt veins on your arm ,they do look bluish and this is due to the much thicker walls of  the veins
