the product of the numbers is equal to the product of their HCF and LCM,

or, L = ab/M

or, M = ab/L

Example:

Let us take two numbers 10 and 12 and verify the relation in (1)

LCM of 10 and 12 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5 = 60

HCF of 10 and 12 = 2

Now, product of the numbers

= 10 * 12

= 120

= 60 * 2

= LCM * HCF

Thus, the relation is verified.
