because too many gasses are present in Venus and gasses absorb heat of sun and so Venus is more hotter than mercury

The reason of this is that the atmosphere of mercury is very thin and most of the heat of the sun is reflected back. Whereas the atmosphere of Venus has a large amount of carbon dioxide and it, being a greenhouse gas, absorbs most of the heat by the sun and hence it is hotter than mercury even though mercury is closer to the sun as compared to venus.
